1. About Lend-it
Lend-it.nl is an online platform that connects users who want to lend items with users who want to borrow items.
Lend-it is not the owner of any listed items and not a party in agreements between users.
2. Role of the Platform
Lend-it only provides:
- A listing platform
- Communication tools between users
All agreements are made directly between users.
Lend-it is not responsible for:
- The condition of items
- Accuracy of listings
- Delivery, pickup, or return
- Actions of users
3. User Accounts
To use the platform, users must:
- Provide accurate information
- Use a valid email and phone number
- Be at least 18 years old
Lend-it may:
- Suspend or delete accounts
- Remove listings
- Refuse access without explanation
4. Listings
Users are responsible for:
- Correct and honest descriptions
- Clear photos
- Stating defects or damage
Misleading or false listings may be removed.
5. Agreements Between Users
When a borrower agrees to rent an item:
- A direct agreement is created between lender and borrower
- Lend-it is not part of this agreement
Users must agree on:
- Price (if applicable)
- Duration
- Pickup and return
- Deposit (if used)
6. Responsibility & Liability
Borrower:
- Responsible for the item during the rental period
- Must return it in the same condition
- Liable for damage, loss, or theft
Lender:
- Responsible for accurate description
- Must provide safe and usable items
Lend-it:
Lend-it is not liable for:
- Damage or loss of items
- Injuries or accidents
- Disputes between users
7. Damage & Disputes
- Users must try to resolve disputes between themselves
- Lend-it may assist, but is not obligated
- Evidence (photos/messages) may be used
Lend-it does not guarantee resolution.
8. Prohibited Items
The following are not allowed:
- Illegal goods
- Weapons
- Drugs or medicines
- Tobacco or vape products
- Counterfeit items
- Unsafe or dangerous products
Lend-it may remove any listing without notice.
9. Platform Use
Users may not:
- Abuse or scam others
- Provide false information
- Use the platform for illegal activities
Violations may result in account termination.
10. Payments (if applicable)
If payments are introduced:
- Lend-it may facilitate transactions
- Fees may apply
- Payment terms will be clearly shown
(Currently, Lend-it may operate without payments.)
11. Privacy
User data is handled according to the Privacy Policy.
12. Availability
Lend-it does not guarantee:
- Continuous availability
- Error-free operation
The platform may be updated, changed, or stopped at any time.
13. Changes
Lend-it may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use means acceptance of changes.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Dutch law.
